If you haven't looked outside in the last few hours, be prepared to see a lot more white.

(Editor's note: in the five minutes since I wrote this, we had some light drizzle. If you haven't looked outside in the last few minutes, you won't see much white stuff...)

(Editor's note part 2: it is snowing again. Typical Manitoba weather!)

The first official snowfall of the season happened earlier today, as flurries are in the forecast all over southern Manitoba.

Environment and Climate Change Canada's Natalie Hasell says it's melting on impact when it hits the roads, but we may see it in the grassy areas for a bit.

"We should see temperatures climb up, a little bit, above 0, which will help with the melting, but we do see showers or flurries continuing in the forecast well into tomorrow," says Hasell. "Even if it is melting on contact, the stuff will still fall for quite a while as we're stuck in the same flow for quite a while."

Looking ahead to the forecast, we are looking at double-digit highs early next week. You can read more here.
