You'll soon have to don a mask before paying a visit to the Portage la Prairie Regional Library.

As of November 3, Head Librarian Richard Bee says it will be mandatory for all patrons over the age of eight to put on a mask before entry the library; whether you plan on browsing the library's collection or are simply picking up a book.

"It has to be covering your nose and your mouth, and should be on like that for the duration that you're in the building," says Bee of the masks.

Bee notes they are also asking that people either sanitize their hands with the sanitizer provided or wash them in the bathroom immediately upon entering the library.
