The pool in Gladstone will be getting a bit of a facelift this fall. Mayor David Single of the Municipality of WestLake-Gladstone says they've applied for a grant to make some improvements to the pool, noting they're emptying it at this time of year so the timing is right. Single says the work will have to be completed while the weather is still warm enough and adds they'll sandblast all the cement to take a look at it.

He notes there are a few areas that aren't in the best of shape but overall they think the pool is in fairly good condition. Single adds they'll take off all the old paint that's been put on over the years, then add an epoxy and repaint it again. He says the cost for this project comes to just over thirty -seven thousand dollars.
