The Government of Manitoba has temporarily halted the production of physical COVID-19 vaccination cards.

Shortages are due to many residents wanting physical copies alongside a major demand industry-wide for blank cards.

In a release, the province says you can still get your digital copies and request the physical one, but there will be a wait for physical copies.

The digital cards are available for use immediately. The first and second doses of the vaccine are available for anyone 12 and up. The province is also holding walk-ins for vaccines at all supersites on Wednesday.

As of Friday, Portage la prairie has a 67.8 per cent vaccine uptake, rural Portage 56.9 per cent, North Norfolk 46.2 per cent, Seven regions 58.4 per cent, and Cartier 70.2 per cent.

A complete listing and searchable map of all vaccine sites, including urban Indigenous clinics and pop-up clinics, is available online at https://protectmb.ca.
