Two miles west of MacGregor off Highway 1 was the scene of a truck engulfed in flames on Saturday. Thankfully, MacGregor firefighters were quick to respond.

Fire Chief Chris Leckie says ten firefighters were dispatched to the incident, which caused significant damage, but no injuries were reported.

"Vehicle malfunction was the cause, and it ignited the front of the vehicle. Crews were able to respond quickly and extinguish the front of the vehicle."

According to Leckie, all crew members were off the scene in roughly one hour.

"Parts fail on vehicles, and vehicle fires are common. It happens," notes the Fire Chief.
