A 46-year-old man from Winnipeg was killed when the cement truck he was driving hit the ditch on Highway 8 at 17th Avenue in the RM of Gimli.
Gimli RCMP say it happened around 1:55 p.m. EMS was on scene and pronounced the man dead.
Initial investigation has determined that the southbound cement truck swerved to the west side of the highway, rolled, and trapped the driver. There was nobody else in the vehicle.
RCMP continues to investigate. Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health is also investigating because the driver was on shift at the time.
