The Portage Mixed Volleyball season has come to a close. The league runs from October to April and consists of over 30 teams. Last night saw the year-end celebration at the Portage Army Navy where divisional winners were recognized.

Brandon Mansell, one of the organizers for the league, says that this years season was exceptional.

"The season was fantastic! With it being my first year as an executive member, there were definitely some hurdles to overcome, but the support from Amanda Sainsbury the treasurer, Matt Dyck the president and the players was appreciated. We have an amazing group of athletes and we wouldn’t be able to keep the league running without all of them."

Mansell also states that having the continued support from the Portage area is always great to see however, they are always looking for ways to improve.

"It’s meant a lot for all of us to be able to keep the sport alive in Portage. We had 32 teams this season and typically have room for 36. We are hoping we can fill up next year."
