Guy Moffat's loving his role as the Regional Campus Manager for Red River College's Portage la Prairie campus.

Moffat's been in the position since December 15th of last year, and he always welcomes feedback from the community.

"We are forming our strategic plan for our own campus coming up, and the one resounding wish from everyone was to work toward making Portage a college town. So the vision is to increase our programming, increase our presence, make sure that we've got people coming through the doors. So we want to hear what it is that people are interested in learning, so we can make sure we're meeting the needs of the people in Portage."

Moffat says they offer a great selection of courses, and there's always room to grow.

"We've got about 5 full time programs running right now, we've got a lot of evening courses running, and a whole bunch more coming up. Some of our more popular ones are the Culinary Courses, we've got Japanese Cuisine coming up. Our Digital Photography is about to start very soon. We're spending a lot of time right now trying to look at new product offerings."

Moffat outlines a couple of courses offered, and says a big one should be offered in the Fall of 2017.

"We have Business Administration starting in the fall, that's year 1. Our second year of Early Childhood Education is going to be running. We have Para-Medicine that continually runs in our campus. Health Unit Clerk, and Health Care Aid. With any luck, not the Fall of 2016 but the Fall of 2017, we'll be able to offer a full Bachelor of Nursing Program here."

Moffat says they offer 5 full time programs, and a good amount of evening courses.
