There's a new executive director at the CMHA Central office in Portage la Prairie.

Sean Miller's been on the job since August 20th. He says the process of settling in has been great, thanks to the local team, who are well connected to the community.

"They've got an incredible ability to serve the community in the ways that we do at CMHA," he says, "So it's been great from that standpoint. Of course, there are a number of responsibilities that are a bit of a change from my last position, but still welcome, very welcome, I really enjoy it."

Miller was previously the CMHA Partnership for Recovery Coordinator in Winnipeg. He believes that background will be an asset in his new position.

"Partnerships are a huge part of what we do at CMHA," he stresses, "We work very closely with community partners, other agencies, and meeting the needs of the community. So in many senses, it's a pretty natural transition."
