Public health officials in Manitoba have confirmed another positive test of COVID-19 within the Southern Health region. This is one of the four cases that was announced Saturday by the province. It is a man in his 30s. The other three cases were from other regions.

Meanwhile, another two new cases were identified as of 9:30 Monday morning. Monday's cases are a woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s, both from the Winnipeg health region.

As of Monday morning, the total number of lab-confirmed positive and probable positive cases in Manitoba is 324. Within Southern Health there have been 40 total cases. Of those, 35 are confirmed, while the other five are probable.

The data also shows:
• no individuals in hospital or intensive care,
• 17 active cases and 300 individuals who have recovered from COVID-19, and
• the number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains at seven.

An additional 789 laboratory tests were performed on Friday, with 1,021 on Saturday and 471 on Sunday. This brings the total number of tests performed since early February to 63,056.

Canada Day is on Wednesday, and Manitobans are reminded to continue to practise physical distancing and follow public health guidelines for gatherings whether at home, the cottage or camping.
