Will Hlady pitched four strong innings, striking out six as the Portage Padres downed the Neepawa Cubs 10-7.

The game started out slow with no scoring in the first two innings. The Padres got on the board in the 3rd, adding four in the 4th, and five in the 5th. The Cubs scored one in the 4th, 2 in the 5th, and made it interesting with four in the 6th for a total of seven. That's as close as they would get.

Joey Moffatt led the Padres with three runs and Daylan Laramee had 3 RBIs.

The Padres improve to 6-6 while the Cubs fall to 4-10.

In other action on the night, the Carberry Royals continue to run hot as they beat the Minnedosa Mavericks 15-3. The Plumas Pirates doubled up the Austin A's 8-4.
