The U18 AAA Pembina Hills baseball team split their pair of outings yesterday in Winnipeg. They faced off with the Winnipeg South Wolves and were victorious in the first meeting 13-9 but fell 16-6 in the following affair.

Ryan Botterill completed the cycle in game one with a single, double, triple, and a home run, which resulted in six RBIs. Ethan Giesbrecht had a big day on the mound as he pitched for six innings and struck out ten batters in the process.

The back end of the double-header saw CJ Koss and Jaxon Macdonald spend some time on the mound and Jace Boychuk finished with three hits.

This improves Pembina Hills' record to 5-3 this season and places them fourth in the league standings. The squad will return home on Sunday as they welcome the St. James A’s to town.
