The Pine Creek School Division is putting the finishing touches on their preparations for the new school year. Superintendent Darwin Crabbe says they're excited about a number of new programs they'll be offering including a technology program. He notes they received a grant which will allow them to offer high school students more options in technological education. Crabbe adds enrolment is down, but at just over 1200 students in 13 schools numbers are not at their lowest. He notes staffing has not been greatly affected by the declining student population. Crabbe says because it isn't specific areas where number are dropping, the staff has remained relatively stable to ensure programs remain available. He hopes to continue providing excellent options and programs to students in the Pine Creek Division.
