The Manitoba Government is looking in to claims of favoritism and mismanagement at an aboriginal housing authority.

The province will review the application process of the Dakota Ojibwa Tribal Council Housing Authority.

MLA Mavis Taillieu explains, there are people on waiting lists for these homes while others are allegedly in the home who shouldn't be, because they don't qualify for social housing.

Taillieu says the government looked into claims of favoritism with the Aiyawin housing corporation but did not fix the problem.

All Aiyawin cases have been transferred to the Dakota Housing Authority.
