The heavy rain that fell in Portage caused some flooding across some popular streets in the city.

Many commuters were making a big splash on their way to work, just after 8 a.m.  Popular side streets off of Saskatchewan Avenue were flooding, which caused some vehicles to stall.

We heard reports of pools forming on 3rd Street South East, Lorne Avenue by the Tupper Street Bridge, as well as 18th Street South West.

The intersection at Crescent Road and Royal Road South had city crews directing traffic around a very deep westbound lane.

Here are some scenes from this morning in Portage la Prairie.
