Executives of the Central Regional Health Authority aren't concerned something like the nurse impostor found at Winnipeg's Seven Oaks Hospital could happen here.

The man worked there for two years after submitting forged papers.

Central RHA Chief Human Resource Officer Jim Hunter points out they have safeguards in place. That includes the names of nurses with suspended or revoked licences being entered into the human resource information system, which is connected to the payroll system. He notes that's where irregularities are rejected.

Hunter says while there are no major concerns, they're reviewed there policies anyway. He adds they use the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba On-line Verification Program, which is secure, and doesn't allow documents to be forged.

They're also advised by the CRNM about licences suspended or revoked.
