Portage la Prairie RCMP pulled over a driver for speeding on the bypass around the city on August 1st at 2:48 p.m. The officer believed the 58-year-old man from the Rural Municipality of Argyle may have been drinking, and had the man blow into a breathalyzer.

The driver failed and lost his licence for 90 days. He also had his vehicle impounded for 30 days and will have to pay a $700 penalty. This does not include the fine for speeding which was an additional $469.
