The Portage Collegiate Saints are kicking off their semi-final series on the road tonight as they face off with the Garden City Gophers. The Saints won their last series as the underdog, despite losing the first game of the best-of-three series.

While they now know they can battle through adversity, they have a tall task ahead of them in the Gophers. Garden City finished the regular season with a record of 21-2 and finished second in the league standings.

The Saints will be looking to Grade 12 forward Karly Vince for a bulk of the offence in this series as she led the league in goals during the regular season and has four points already in this postseason. Goaltender Abby Reichert was stellar in her two games of play in round one as well, allowing just two goals and stopping 57 shots.

Game one of this best-of-three affair is set for today at 4:00 at Seven Oaks Arena in Winnipeg. Game two will go down tomorrow back here in Portage with puck drop set for 4:00 at Stride Place.
