For the second time this season the PCI Varsity Saints basketball team took third place in a tournament.

This past weekend the Saints offense was reeling, but they still managed to scratch and claw their way to a 33-30 win over Virden. Player of the game for the Saints was Alyssa McLeod.

Next up were the Trojans from R.D. Parker Collegiate of Thompson, whose zone defense shut down the Saints offense, and defeated Portage 61-35. Player of the game for the Saints was Freja Cuddington.

That put the Saints in the third place game against the host Neepawa Tigers. The Saints offense got back on track for a 64-51 win.

That's the second tournament this season the Saints beat Neepawa for third place, and the second tournament the Saints only loss came to the eventual tournament champion (this time it was the R.D. Parker Collegiate Trojans of Thompson).

The Saints have two league games this week, then travel to Brandon next weekend to participate in the Vincent Massey Viking Tournament.
