Last week, the Salvation Army put on the Jingle Bell Breakfast fundraiser at our Golden West Radio studio parking lot, and Stride Credit Union contributed somewhat of a multi-faceted donation.

Manager of marketing and communications Nancy Funk says all their staff came together.

"Several people donated groceries, toys, and some people gave cash donations, as well," says Funk. "And then, our canteen club at Royal Rd branch also donated $500. Then Stride Credit Union donated $500, as well. So, it's a great thing to support, and we recognize the need in our community."

Salvation Army major Brenda Hammond adds it's just fantastic.

"Their staff have made a donation as well as Stride," notes Hammond. "We will put that to good use and they are another of our community partners that we count on every year helping out at Christmas time. That's fantastic for us. And the people whom you'll never ever meet, say, 'Thank you!'"
