The Municipality of Westlake-Gladstone recently had their annual tax sales, with 2 properties involved. Mayor David Single says one of the properties bought is a well known one for the town of Plumas.

"In Plumas, the old Moon Beam Hall was bought. Many people will know what that is and will have had lots of fun in there. There were lots of dances in there, there was a bowling alley downstairs and a pool hall, so it was a very well used thing in Plumas but it hasn't been for quite a few years now. We got it on tax sales so we will be looking at what options we have but I suspect we'll be tearing it down."

Single notes all of the properties are for sale.

"They're always for sale and we'll sell them fairly cheap. Basically we sell them for a dollar with the proviso that you have to build something on it in 2 years. We have other properties in all of our towns and that's what we do."

Single says both properties can be hooked up to town water and other utilities if someone were to buy them.
