The Portage Terriers return to the dog pound tonight as they gear up for a battle with the Winnipeg Blues. This will be the sixth and final meeting of the season between these two teams and Portage comes into this one leading the season series 4-1. Forward Logan Calder explains their gameplan against the Blues.

"We just have got to come ready to play," says Calder. "They're not a big team. So, if we stay on the body and play Terrier hockey, I think we'll have a good shot."

The Terriers will be looking to stay undefeated in the month of February and secure their fifth straight victory. Forwards Brett Namaka and Koby Morrisseau have both been excelling during this win streak, they both have totaled five points over the last three games.

The dogs have been hot offensively as of late. Portage has been able to put up five or more goals in each of their last three games and they will be looking to continue that tonight as Winnipeg has allowed the second-most total goals in the MJHL this season(198).

Portage has also been very solid on the penalty kill recently as in their last five games, they have held their opponents to just two goals on 21 power-play chances(90.5%). Forward Peyton Gorski describes the keys to their success while down a man.

"It's just getting pucks down on our first opportunity," says Gorski. "It's also about sticking to our formation and working as a unit out there."

The Terriers and Blues will face off tonight at Stride Place with puck drop set for 7:30.
