The Portage Terriers of the MJHL are now ranked third in the top junior hockey teams across the country.

The CJHL released its top 20 teams today, with the Dogs improving three spots to land at #3. The Terriers have won their first eight games to begin the season.

The Penticton Vees of the BCHL remain in the #1 spot while the Brooks Bandits of the AJHL -- last year's host for the National Championship -- are ranked #2.

The Swan Valley Stampeders are the only other MJHL team ranked. They sit at #11, one week after not being ranked.

The Terriers play two games on the road this week (Steinbach on Wednesday, Winkler on Friday) before hosting Swan Valley on Sunday.
