Westpark School will host a tour week from April 15-19. The goal is to allow parents and students to see the building as well as get an understanding of the atmosphere and people who work there. Principal Lydia Stoesz shares her perspective on why it matters.

"When people get a chance to come into the school and experience it, whether it's during a school day. They get to see what the school actually looks like when students are in and learning, they get a little bit better of a sense of what it would actually be like to be part of the school and be a student here, and that's what we're hoping for."

Vice Principal Corey Willms emphasized the focus of the school is to make all the students feel safe.

"A lot of people are quite impressed with how welcoming it is, and just the overall feeling here. One of the things we take pretty seriously is the safety of the students, and I feel like it's a very safe school. I've had experiences in quite a few schools and that's one of the things that stands out about Westpark."

Willms adds there is a benefit to signing up during the tour week in that, if you feel the school is a good fit, your children's tuition will be the same as the students from the year previous, whereas those who sign up afterwards will pay a modest increase of around two per cent.

Principal Stoesz notes that if you want to get a tour of the school, you can arrange that by going to the school's website: westparkschool.com.
