Even though we have been spoiled with some nice weather so far this fall season, snow is soon to be coming.

Environment and Climate Change Canada Meteorologist Terri Laing warns of some changes coming midweek.

"There is a weather system that's forecast to move through starting Wednesday, and that will bring a big change in the weather. It'll start out as rain towards maybe noontime on Wednesday, or maybe you know even in the morning, but then we're expecting a change to snow. And it will continue to snow through the day Thursday and probably even into Friday."

While the amount of snow is still to be determined, you should start preparing for the flurries anyway says Laing.

"It does look like there's a good bunch of snow coming." Terri continued with her warning, "I would caution people, now you've got a couple of days. If you haven't got the snow tires on, put the snow tires on. If you don't know where your shovels are, get your shovels out. Get the kid's winter boots out. All that kind of stuff."

Winter won't officially start until December 21st, but Laing says now is the time to set yourself up right for the season that will be upon us for quite a few months.
