The MJHL Semi Final Series between the Portage Terriers and Winnipeg Blues resumes tonight at the PCU Centre.

It's Game 3 in the best of seven series and the Terriers have a 2-0 lead after shutting out the Blues in Winnipeg Monday night. The series has been very physical, and Terriers' Head Coach Blake Spiller expected nothing less.

"That's the way we knew they'd play, and if I was coaching their team that's the way I'd be playing too. They made it tough on us, but I thought we made some good plays as it went on."

Spiller liked the dogs' start to Game 2, and knows Winnipeg will push back in Game 3.

"They're going to come and play the same way, and it's going to be a tough series. I thought we handled their physicality pretty well, and hopefully we'll get off to a good start and try and get some pucks on net early."

Home ice has been kind to the Terriers this season, they have only lost once in the friendly confines of the PCU. In fact the team has now won 26 games in a row dating back to early January. And when you go back to last years playoffs, the team has now won 18 straight MJHL playoff games, an unofficial league record. While the streak has been a total team effort, two big reasons would be Captain Brad Bowles and Netminder Nathan Park. Bowles, the leading scorer in the league during the regular season has picked up where he left off for the playoffs. His 13 points are tops once again, 3 more than Winkler's Tristin Keck. Park lead the league in almost all goaltending categories in the regular season and has actually improved on his goals against average. At 1.83 it's no surprise he is a perfect 6-0 in the playoffs.

Tonight's game starts at 7:30 at the PCU Centre. Catch the game on CFRY and Portage Online dot com, with the pre game show starting at 7:20.

The other Semi-Final Series continued last night with Steinbach getting on the board by by beating Winkler on home ice 6-3. The Flyers however still lead the series two game to one. Game 4 in that series is Friday night in Winkler.
