The 2021 Manitoba Threshermen's Reunion is already taking shape.

The 2020 reunion was called off this year due to COVID-19, but plans are already in the making.

The International Cockshutt Club Inc. will be attending the reunion in full force.

Western Regional Representative David Wyllie explains who the club is.

"We have everyone from engineers, medical doctors, farmers, truck drivers, storekeepers, politicians, and anything in between. We all come together with one common interest, and that's the restoration, preservation, and demonstration of the iconic Cockshutt."

Cockshutt Farm Equipment Limited was based out of Brantford, Ontario, from 1877–1962.

Wyllie says this is going to be a big opportunity for the club.

"The 2021 show in Austin will have the distinction of being the first show outside of Ontario. We alternate between Canada and the U.S.A. Odd years we're in Canada, and even years our show is in the U.S.A. We just finished our 2020 show in Greenville, Ohio, a couple of weeks ago."

What started as 40 people attending the first-ever meeting has ballooned into over 1600 members of the club worldwide. He says the majority of the members hail from Eastern Ontario and the United States.

Wyllie says 2021 is a significant year for the club.

"It is the 75th anniversary of the Cockshutt 30. The Cockshutt 30 is a very significant tractor in the history of agriculture because it perfected live PTO and live hydraulics. It was (one of) the first tractors you could buy after World War 2."

The club wants to commemorate the anniversary and plans on bringing 75 Cockshutt 30's to the reunion.
