Yesterday saw the holiday season come alive in MacGregor.

There was plenty to do, with a Christmas parade, home tours, activities at the Nor-Mac Centre, and public skating.

Heartland Recreation Director and Facility Manager Karla Gurke says it was an amazing day.

"I went on the tours myself this morning, and saw all the houses" she says, " Absolutely everybody's take on Christmas is great. Everybody looks like they're having fun here today."

Gurke says the community's support was great.

"Whether it be the businesses putting on a parade float, or coming out and skating with the kids, it's been amazing to see everything come around. And we see it every year that they come out."
