It was the big day for Grade 12 students at MacGregor Collegiate Institute.

"This year's grad class is an amazing group of kids," says Principal Kyle McKinstry when asked about the 47 students who graduated. "Today was just an amazing day, culminating and bringing everyone together, and just celebrating all of their accomplishments."

McKinstry says the Governor General Award went to Shailyn Boschman, while Rachel Street won the Hometown Award.

"Street was our President of our student council, and there are too many other great students to mention them all," adds McKinstry. "We had 22 members on the honour roll, and that's above 80 per cent, and we had a very academic class what is really nice to see."

He adds all the graduates are special in their own right and says there are too many great memories to mention just one.
