At about 10:00 a.m. this morning, a report was made of a man who pinned himself beneath a log, while clearing fallen debris caused by the recent storms in the Portage area. The incident occurred by Road 33W, about 3.5 miles south of the Hoop and Holler near Portage la Prairie. He was alone during the incident and unable to free himself.  He had his cell phone on hand, and called 911. Firefighters arrived as well as the EMS. Upon release from the log he noted he had a bit of pain. EMS staff checked him, he claimed he was fine, and he signed a waiver to not be admitted to the hospital.
