"This is the 36th annual exhibition that we're hosting here in Portage la Prairie at the Portage and District Arts Centre. From 6:00 p.m. til 7:00 the artists will be able to come in and pick up their critiques from the three jurors."

She says the three jurors have tirelessly critiqued each of the pieces and will offer their advice to the artists to improve their work. Various guest speakers will attend the event once the doors open to the public, and everyone will also get the chance to meet the PDAC's new executive director. Margaret Bernhardt-Lowdon.

Beaton notes If you come out you can vote for your favourite piece for the People's Choice Award and see which pieces have been selected for the tour from May until August, and the Manitoba Rural and Northern Juried Art Show in Winnipeg in July.

PDAC executive director Margaret Bernhardt-Lowdon adds it's fantastic for the juried art exhibit to mark her first event with the Centre. She notes the talent hanging in the gallery's fantastic, she's pleased to be part of the centre, and is quite excited about the event.
