RCMP Respond To Incident In The City's Northeast

Portage la Prairie RCMP and EMS were called out around 9:30 this morning to deal with an incident near 3rd Street Northeast and 5th Avenue.

An on-site account from reporter Aaron Wilgosh informs us two ambulances were on the scene, as well as three RCMP vehicles.

It's reported the police went into a residence, and came out with a man in handcuffs.

Wilgosh asked the Mounties what the nature of the incident was, and says they replied it was an ambulance call, but didn't explain the reason for handcuffs.

So far, there are no reports of injuries.
