Summer events are so popular now that we've come out of a two-year COVID hiatus, and there are some brand-new events that are coming out. One of them is the Portage and District Chamber of Commerce's Wine and Nine Golf event for Women in Business.
Executive director Cindy McDonald says it's taking place today.
"This is our first-ever Women in Business Wine and Nine Golf," says McDonald. "We hadn't had a Women in Business event of any kind in two years, so I decided that this would be a really great time to get everybody out, have some fun, do some networking, and just get together again."
McDonald says they usually have luncheons where they discuss any given topic and some professional development opportunities.
"Any kind of business, any kind of level of business to get together, get to know each other to network, and I think that's the whole purpose of this is just getting people together, and seeing each other face to face again," adds McDonald.
She adds she's expecting a great afternoon.
