North Norfolk Council will be looking into getting better internet speeds for the municipality. Mayor Neil Christoffersen says they are seeing if fibre optic cables could work.

"We've had a presentation from a man from a consulting company," says Christoffersen. "We've agreed to do a feasibility study on the feasability of putting fibre optic cable into the municipality to increase the internet speed."

He says other municipalities he has talked to are happy with their results.

"We've talked to some other municipalities and it's really boosted their internet speeds," says Christoffersen. "Not only in communities, but in rural areas. With the way things are going with businesses in rural areas we thought it would be great to keep on top of this."

Christoffersen says there isn't a timeline on a decision yet. He says the feasibility study should be done in the next month or two, and a decision will be made after they see what the cost would be.

He says the current internet speed isn't very good and they are looking forward to the results of the study.
