It was a Saturday to remember for the Portage Pitbulls at Rotary Republic Park. With the temperatures in the single digits, the Bantam squad came out hot and controlled their playoff game against the Corydon Comets right from the get go. When the dust settled, it was a 30-0 victory and an appearance in the final four next weekend.

Coach Miles Irwin was impressed with the teams play on both sides of the field, putting up a solid 30 points but also holding to Comets off the score scheet. Irwin said it was a complete team effort.

The team will now spend the week getting ready for what could be a classic Semi-Final Match Saturday in Winnipeg against the St. James Rods. The two teams were tied in the regular season standings (St. James finished one slot higher due to a tie-breaker) and in their only regular season meeting the score was also a tie. The game is scheduled for 10am at the Rods field.
