The Portage Terriers return to the dog pound tonight as they are gearing up for a meeting with the Winkler Flyers. These two teams faced off just four nights ago and that outing saw the dogs come out on top 4-1. The Terriers will be looking to remain undefeated in the month of February and extend their winning streak to seven straight tonight. Forward Chase Felgueiras talks about the way they have been playing as of late.

"I think we're just a lot tougher now," says Felgueiras. "We make it hard for the other teams to play against us. So, that's what's led to us winning more games and kind of scaring teams off."

The Terriers have been playing very well defensively on their winning streak as they have only let up more than one goal once in those six games. Portage also comes into this one leading the MJHL in goal differential as they have outscored their opponents by 72 total goals this season.

Forward Carter Barley has been finding his stride as of late, he currently has a five-game point streak and put up a pair of points in each of his last two outings. His past three performances earned himself a nod to being one of the three MJHL 'Stars of the Week' for the week of February 3rd-9th. Barley describes what has helped him perform so well.

"I'd give a lot of props to my lineys(linemates)," says Barley. "They've been helping me out a lot. Pills(Jacob Piller) and (Joey) Moffatt are both puck-moving players and we look for each other out there. We work well together, I think."

Tonight's matchup is a battle for second place in the MJHL standings as the Flyers have 73 points and the Terriers have 74. Puck drop for tonight's game is scheduled for 7:30 at Stride Place.
