The Central Plains Capitals head on the road tonight to face the Winnipeg Wild in Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League action at the MTS Iceplex.

The Caps were able to steal a win from the Wild earlier in the season, but have fallen in their last two.

"In practice, we've been working on reloading through the middle," says forward Mitchell Wilson. "Even when our forecheck is working well they can pick it off and be going back the other way right away. So we need to make sure we're in good position to counter that and get the puck back."

Central Plains' last three losses have all been by one goal deficits. Two of those losses came at the hands of Pembina Valley, which recently jumped over the Caps in the standings.

"It's pretty close, there are only a couple of points separating first and fifth so we need to get some wins," adds Wilson. "We've really been working on our shots on net and it's been working. We've had a few games this year where we've gotten over 50 shots. If we keep doing that, more goals and wins will come."

The Caps and Wild go at 7 p.m.
