A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a homicide in Portage la Prairie over the weekend. According to RCMP, officers were called to the local hospital around 5 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, after a seriously injured 30-year-old man was dropped off by an unknown woman. He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Investigators later located the vehicle believed to have transported the victim parked outside a residence on 5th Street SE. The woman was arrested without incident inside the home. She has been charged with manslaughter (without a firearm) and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. The investigation is ongoing, with members of the Portage la Prairie RCMP, Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services, and Forensic Identification Services involved in the case.
